Bio
Reem Essam Bin Hafiz is an Emirati visual artist currently studying Visual Arts at Zayed University Dubai. She has been interested in art from a young age, especially painting. Through her university studies, her interest in art developed further as she learned new ways to explore ideas and express them visually.
Her recent work focuses on perception, memory, and emotion, using light, reflection, and pattern. As part of her senior project, she is exploring how quiet moments and shared spaces can be translated into visual form. This project involves research, observation, and experimentation, which helped her strengthen her research skills and creative process.
During her time at Zayed University, Reem worked with different mediums such as painting, photography, printmaking, and digital tools. She also developed good skills in graphic design and gained experience using Adobe software.
In the future, Reem aims to continue her artistic journey, with a strong focus on painting and photography. She hopes to have her own studio and possibly start a small business that allows her to continue painting on different surfaces, such as fabric and leather.
